Museums, Installations, Cultural and Visitor's Centers
Every time I’m hired as a voice talent for a museum or cultural institution or a visitors center installation I learn something new. Narrating the virtual tour and installation for New York City’s Second Avenue Subway Community Information Center taught me all about the subway’s history, design and technology. Providing the voiceover for the promotion of an art exhibit at the Getty Center left me with the desire to see the exhibit as soon as it opened and playing roles like that of Claire Phillips – The Mysterious Italian Singer for the Museum of the War in the Pacific is just plain fun.
I’ve told the story of Alfred Nobel for the Nobel Museum in Stockholm, portrayed characters in The Sixth Floor Museum installation in Dallas in Spanish, provided the English voiceover for San Antonio’s Casa Navarro and for the Texas Independence Series for the Texas Historical Commission and was the voice talent chosen for Mt. Greylock’s Visitors Center among other institutions.
Have a listen to the story and last moments of Stephen F. Austin from “Texas: Forged of Revolution” from the Texas Independence Series for the Texas Historical Commission. And check out video of that and other work.
